RAMBLE ON BABY

8.16.2013

here i go again switching things up a bit.  for some this may bode well and for others, maybe not so much. but, one thing i've realized throughout my short blogging experience is that if i'm going to be on the web, i need to do something interesting and something good. even more, to trust my instinct and ramble on about what i like and just go with the flow. my hope is whenever you stop by, you will find something of interest, maybe a little inspiration, and at times, something that may leave you scratching your heads too.  yes, i want you to do all of that! and i want this blog to continue moving along with hopes that it will not be boring, stale, or the usual.

and so, this little lady has decided to do away with style post.  hold up, settle down a minute...maybe not completely. i'm just going to switch things up a bit.  why? because i'm not a fashion blogger, but love fashion. and even though i shop certain stores (or thrift a thing or two) my guess is, alot of what people are wearing you have already seen. so, i've decided my fashion related post will feature items i own that are handmade, created by an up and coming indie designer.  that's right. no labels or big brands mentioned (even though they may be a part of the outfit) . i'll showcase (and link to) items that can be labeled as "handmade." so consider it my plug for why i love the handmade community and why we should be supporting and buying their stuff.

stay tuned.
post will be rolling out soon.
and if you see something you like (that's not handmade) and want to know where i found it...just ask.

settle down easy.

  1. That's such a great idea! I like it because everyone can own the same H&M sweater, but those unique handmade pieces are what makes the outfit special. I love doing DIY's and have kind of gone away from just outfit posts too- I like to incorporate my DIY style into my outfits and show people how to do them, that's more rewarding for me. If it means I don't post everyday, then I'm ok with that. Can't wait to see what you'll be wearing!

  4. Yes and Amen! I love this and have often thought about doing this to some degree. I am not a fashion blogger per se, yet love fashion and more often than not my things are discounted or thrifted.

I champion you and look forward to reading what you post!

  6. It's important to follow your inspiration and evolve.
And those who are really down with you will stay down and those who are not can move along and make room for more who do...if that makes sense :)
I'm looking forward to what's in store! xx

  8. I think it's great. It's exactly what I had to do on my blog, I was getting bored and it was doing no goo to my creativity, so I expanded on subjects I like and that was that!! It's helped in getting my creativity going again!! I look forward to what's to come :)) xx

  9. Sounds awesome!!! Go for it Chandra! You are right, I am so tired and sick of Zara this, H&M that! I want something new and interesting and I want to know what you are thinking. I love reading "ramblings!" Always inspires me or ignite an idea or a new perspective! Your blog is cool as it is but I have a feeling it is go get even more so ;)

  11. Glad to see that you are expanding you realm. I've seen blogger advice that claims one should stick to their subject, but I find that I love the blogs that share lots of aspects of their life.

I very much enjoyed your style posts that showed how you mix things from everywhere to get a great look. Those posts I inspire me to look at all my shopping and the closet differently. You do that so well.

    That graphic is wonderful.
