drink up

2.21.2012

As of late, I've taken to throwing fruits and veggies in the blender for a quick addition to breakfast.  This morning I came up with "the green thing." {I'm not much for  measuring, so just add as little or as much of the things you like}.

2 handfuls of baby spinach
1 cup of pineapple
1 1/2 bananas
1 kiwi or cup of mango
1/2 green apple
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 cup of water

Blend till you have the desired consistency.
Add more tasty things if you like.
Now enjoy!

    1. Chelsea, once you try a few you will definitely find a blend that you will find delicious, you could start off with adding some fruit - bananas and pears and carrots are great in smoothies:)

  10. I love green smoothies!

My favorite is one large frozen banana, a few handfulls baby spinach, half an avocado, and a cup of skim milk. The frozen banana makes it taste like a vanilla milkshake!

I'll have to try your recipe -- it looks good!
